I know, you may be thinking, Rob, that doesn't make sense, I'm supposed to selling my stuff, what are you even talking about? Let me ask you, would you prefer to be SOLD something, or would you prefer to BUY something? No one likes to be sold anything, but everyone like to buy something

What do people buy, and spend good money on? Solutions to their problems. They don't want the ‘thing’ itself. They want the pain they are currently experiencing, gone. If your product or service can deliver that result, then they need what you are offering and will want to buy from you. This will only happen, if you are asking the questions to help them identify with that pain, imagine not having that pain, and by position your product or service as a solution to that pain.
